Works of Art....

Here are some of the lovely entries in the LSBS think pink challenges - card sketch challenge and BRA challenge! These lovely ladies - who aren't members of LSBS - joined in the fun and I have now uploaded their entries into the gallery at LSBS!

Deb's "thank you" card

Heather's Happy Birthday Card

Leisel's "it's a girl" card.

Nadine's stunning bra!

Nadine's friend, Tracey's bra....

Leisel's bra (although I think Deb & Heather helped a bit too with this one!)

My girls also did a bra each - but I haven't had a chance to photograph them yet. Tara also did a LO which I must scan and upload!

Anyone else who actually did some scrapping on the night (unlike me who didn't even get my gear out of the box!!) feel free to email me copies and I'll upload to the blog!

Same with photos! Don't forget to send them to me!

Gypsy has already done a LO (digi) with a photo from the GNI Crop - go Gyps - see it at Scrap Chat!

Position VACANT

I'm looking for a new TREASURER!!!

Poor DH made a slight error in his calculations for our fund raising total (he mistakenly thought the $20 bundles had $200 in them but there were only $100 bundles)......so our total has been adjusted......to the still impressive $960 with a few more dollars to come hopefully before the end of October!

Little Scrapbook Shop total is at almost $3000 with more crops, silent auctions and challenges to come!
Thanks again for everyone's support!

What a FABULOUS Night!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, helped and/or donated for this fabulous night that went off without a hitch! We had a great crowd of about 40 people, amazing food (thank you SO MUCH Kerryn), fun & laughter, great cards to make (thank YOU Chelle!) and we even raised a dollar or two for women's cancer research!!!

At the moment (with a few more dollars to come in yet) we look to have raised almost $1200!!! I am so thrilled that we have managed to raise so much (given I originally estimated we'd raise $200!!!)

I'm exhausted today .... so might let some photos tell the story for now!

Kerryn and her famous "chocolate fountain"

The most scrummy 'pink' cupcakes.....divine!

The clothes line....with all the altered bra's on! Even my two girls had a go at this!

Beautiful girls....Leanne, Chelle & Karen!

Monica (Gizmo) and her sister, Lilly!

The Little Scrapbook Shop girls.....me, Kerryn, Gill, Angie, Lisa & Michelle - modelling some of the bras!

Gypsyangel (Karen) and her junior scrapper friends, Emily & Jessica (with the 'girl' cards Chelle made up for the card kits!)

Sweetie Tracey (Tiddlepeep) who donated some lovely handmade goodies for the lucky door prizes!

The Morans = selling raffle tickets!

The raffle winners - Kerryn and Michelle.

Raffle .... Check it out!

How good does this look?

Get your tickets on the night for this great prize! Too much for the lovely bucket I bought for the raffle! But it still looks great!

The Card Kits are done - thank you again Michelle - you're a wonder woman!!! We've decided to sell them for $3 each so we can sell all of them! What a bargain! Includes Michelle's instructions too!

I think we're all set.....Kerryn has the chocolate all set for the chocolate fountain....which everyone is looking forward to!

My next post should be lots of photos from a successful, fun-filled NIGHT!

The Final Countdown

Not long now.... things are really heating up here in preparation for Saturday night! We have PINK stuff everywhere!!

I'm skipping work tomorrow so I can have everything ready (including a tidy house for our visitors)!!!

Received a lovely pack from Little Scrapbook Shop today - yippee - thank you Cath!!! Awesome goodies for the scrap hamper included. Also some lovely items donated by Mijaomi - who's coming to join us on the night - aren't you Michelle???!!!!

The card kits are almost all done (awesome job Chellejamo) - you wait until you see the gorgeous cards Michelle has put together (with the lovely donations from Acacia Paper Craft) for us! I've seen a sneak peek and you will LOVE them! Slight hiccup with receiving the base cards from Kaiser - but hopefully they'll be here tomorrow - other wise Plan B will have to come into action! Thanks too to Michelle's Mum from the Stamp Shak for donating the card kit bags and ribbon.

Check out this list of activities (all optional) planned for the night.....doesn't it sound awesome!

* Collect your Lucky Door Prize ticket on arrival (multiple draws throughout the night)

* Add your name and contact details to the Scrap Trolley Bag Competition! See list at front door.(The Crop that raises the most money will raffle off a Scrap Trolley Bag)

* Make a name tag (free pink tags, ribbon & pins available – or use your own stash) to be in the running for a prize! Judging at 9pm!

Those coming along ---- don't forget your craft mat AND there will be NO scrap supplies for sale on the night at the crop - so bring your scrap supplies with you! Adhesives, cutters etc not supplied with the class.

Who wants to guess how much we'll raise??? Come on! I originally said $200 but I'm hoping we'll make $500 now with such an awesome response from everyone! What do you think???

Tupperware

The lovely Julie Ferguson is joining us on Saturday night (as a regular member of our work scrap tour group!) + sweet Mum, Sue and other work colleague, Leanne! So pleased you can all make it ladies.

Julie is a tupperware demonstrator extraordinaire that has already kindly donated $150 worth of tupperware for lucky door prizes. BUT on top of that Julie will have with her on the night some lovely new tupperware for you to buy and take with you on the night or order in and she'll donate 15% to the GNI Crop funds!!! Thank you so much Jules!

Cricut

Peggy (Patriciasmum - ScrapChat) is bringing her Cricut (diecut machine) along on Saturday night and is happy for everyone to use it. Thank you for that Peggy!

The first tally for funds raised through Little Scrapbook Shop is up in the forums there....it's just over $100 so far BUT I'm sure after all the Girls Night In crops all over Australia (from Mossman in the far north to Perth in the far west and lots of places inbetween) during the coming weeks that LSBS will easily reach their $2000 goal.

Here in Brisbane I originally set a target of $200 BUT now - with such wonderful support from everyone, I'm hoping we can double that!!!

The numbers attending are up over 40 now.......we'll be bursting at the seams on the night but I'm sure everyone will have a fabulous time!

I received some lovely "Nourish Naturally" products today from my good friend Julie today - gorgeous natural soaps and other beauty products! Be sure to support Julie by checking out her online shop!

Just to clarify....

Just to clarify.....if you're attending the GNI Crop night you don't HAVE TO do any of the competitions, sketches, bra decorating, name tag etc....it's totally up to you what you do on the night!

If you want to come along and just scrap/card make that's fine too!

DON"T FORGET to bring your CRAFT MAT along too please (put your name on the back)!

The competitions are just being offered as a way to raise a few extra $$$ and for some fun!

The BRA Decorating is for a bit of fun....alter an old bra (second hand one or cheapie from discount shop) with lots of bling, flowers, ribbon etc and we'll enter a photo of your 'altered' bra into the online gallery competition (for a $1 entry fee)!

We will have a mini hills hoist clothes line at the Crop to 'show off' your bra....if you do it before the crop or use some of our donated "bra bling" to decorate it on the night!

As well as all the very yummy food Kerryn is arrange (THANK YOU so much!!!) we'll have cold drinks (coke, diet coke & water) and 'pink' Kit Kat's for sale on the night. Tea and coffee will be available free of charge with your complimentary supper!

Name Badges

As our numbers gradually increase (we're at about 25 now!!)....I think we'll all need a NAME BADGE on the night!!

So - let's have another competition!!

Best name tag (base tags and pins supplied on the night) as judged by the 'men' attending (my Dad & DH & any others that turn up!) will win a prize!

I was lucky enough to enjoy a whole 13 hours of scrapping yesterday and managed to get my "Think Pink" challenge layout completed (not sure how much time I'll have to scrap at the GNI Crop!!) Don't forget to check it out at Little Scrapbook Shop!

We will also have a LAYOUT and CARD sketch challenge available on the night.......with local prizes as well as national ones!

Received some more beautiful donations yestereday (from Shannon & Lisa - thank you so much ladies!!!) including the most goregous CARDS that will be for sale on the night! These will sell like hot cakes.....don't forget to bring along (or make them there) a few of your own cards to sell on the night!!!

Don't forget to leave a thought at the Well of Positivity......every positive thought adds $1 to Breast Cancer Research.....almost $160 000 has been raised to date!!!
